Learning to Read with Phonics

The Learning to Read with Phonics series is especially designed for ESL children. From listening input, learning the relation between "sounds and letters", and "sounds blending" to "point and read", children will be instructed in a logical sequence and learn from the sounds of letters to word families; from word families to words; and from words to sentences. With this series, children will learn how to read efficiently.

As the more advanced book series for learning phonics, the Student Books provide more reading materials that expand children's knowledge of phonics, and lively chants that further enforce their listening ability. The Work Books offer a chance for children to review what they have learned, and practice reading by themselves as well. Once children finish this series, they would have the capability to read out loud the majority of the reading materials they encounter, and a mighty good ear for English as well.

Learning to Read with Phonics: Starter A

The level in Starter A & B is a very important foundation for phonics learning. No matter how much time it takes, it is essential that teachers and parents make sure children are familiar with all the sounds of the 26 letters, so that they are ready to take the next step in the phonics journey.
